Holy City of Makkah

Makka is city that’s Makka is undoubtedly the holiest and most reverent spot on earth for Muslims. It is situated above its Qibla, where Muslims from across the globe gather to pray five times daily. The world’s largest mosque Masjid Al-Haraam is also situated in the city of Makkah that is large enough to house as many as 4 million Muslims there during the holy month of Hajj. Every year millions of Muslims from all over the world travel to Makka and Medina, the Holy City in Makka and Medina for the holy pilgrimage that is Hajj as well as Umrah which is the biggest pilgrimage city in the world and contributes a significant boost to the economics that is the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Holiest city of the earth, Makkah al Mukarramah :

The significance of Makkah is evident by the fact that it was the place of birth of our dear prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and also home to the most sacred building of Ka’aba. This is the city in which Allah’s Apostle (PBUH) was for a long period of his life. He was also the first to receive guidance through Allah Almighty. But the significance of religion to Makkah was recognized long before the time of the holy prophet (PBUH). The place in which Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) left his wife Hazrat Hajrah (AS) as well as his daughter Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) after receiving a signal from Allah and then the incredible incident with Zam-zam’s holy water was witnessed. Makkah is the city of consecration in which Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) started the foundation of the home in the name of Allah with the assistance of his son.

The holy city of Makkah is the heartbeat of Muslims all over the world :

Makka, as well as Medina, Are the two only two cities around the globe that are inaccessible to anyone who is not Muslim. The non-believer cannot enter the city between Makkah and Medina for any reason. The reason for this is to safeguard the sacredness in these two cities. The verse is found in the Quran as follows “Oh you who believe! Truly the idolaters are unclean; so let them not, after this year, approach the Sacred Mosque. ” (9:28)  The sacredness of Makkah is not a new phenomenon since the beginning of time. The Quran only increased the glory of Makkah’s past and its reverence. Allah says: “For me, I have commanded to serve the Lord of this City, Him, Who has sanctified it and to whom (belong) all things; and I am told to be one of those who bow to Allah’s Will in Islam.” (An-Namal 27:91)
